Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney answered questions from members of the press after Bellator MMA 108 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, following the big TKO victory of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. In this scrum, Rebney discusses Ben Askren’s departure with the company and what his potential future might be with the UFC, and Magomedrasul “Frodo” Khasbulaev’s future with Bellator and if he will ever get a shot at the Featherweight Champion, Daniel Straus.
Rebney also discusses what will be happening with the vacant welterweight title and how they will crown a new champion, negative marketing, and how to build a fight up for TV.
This video represents the second media scrum that Bjorn did, the first one was led by Sherdog while this one was led by Luke Thomas, with reporters slowly trailing off until I was the last one there at about 1:00 in the morning (and that was how I got the one-on-one interview with Rebney which covers much more about the main card fighters that was not covered here).
