UFC 167: Georges St. Pierre and Rashad Evans top salaries for main card fighters

With all 24 fighters for weighed-in, UFC 167 is ready to go down Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. In the main event, Welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will look to secure his ninth consecutive title defense against Johny Hendricks. Hendricks earned his shot at the belt going 10-1 in the UFC and having beat 4 top-10 fighters in a row.

The co-main event features a wrestleboxer contest between two top Light Heavyweight in Chael Sonnen and Rashad Evans. Chael re-debuted in the division against champion Jon Jones at UFC 159. He lost the title fight, but recovered with a first round submission over Mauricio Rua at UFC Fight Night 26. Evans gave up a decision to Rogerio Nogueira early in the year at UFC 156, but came back with a split decision win over Dan Henderson at UFC 161.

Unsurprisingly, St. Pierre tops the salary list for Saturday’s card at an impressive $400K with Evans coming in at second place. NSAC executive director Keith Kizer reported the salaries of the main card fighters to Bloody Elbow:
