Less than a week after the biggest card in the promotion’s history, they followed up with Bellator 107 featuring three separate tournament bouts. In the main event, former UFC Heavyweight gatekeeper Cheick Kongo won the tournament final by unanimous decision. The win clinches his shot at the Bellator title against the winner of Alexander Volkov vs. Vitaly Minokov at Bellator 109 in two weeks.

Take a look at all the action from tonight’s fights. GIFs courtesy of BE’s media savant the one and only Zombie Prophet.

Main Card

Cheick Kongo defeats Peter Graham by unanimous decision

After 3 rounds, Kongo battered and bloodied Graham to win the UD victory. The first half of the fight was contested mostly on the feet. Graham had trouble getting past Kongo’s pawing jab and had his rhythm thrown off as Kongo mixed in clinch attempts. Kongo took over more in the second round as Graham started to gas, then dominated the final round. He secured an early takedown and opened Graham up with ground-and-pound elbows. By the end of the fight, Graham was a bloody-faced mess and Kongo was awarded all three rounds on all three judges’ cards.

Oh yeah, Kongo was totally hurt by this completely legitimate low blow in round 1

Joe Warren defeats Travis Marx by TKO at  of round 2

Joe Warren made his gameplan known earlier en route to winning the Bantamweight tournament finals. Throughout the first round, he took down Marx at will, controlling him from top position and in the clinch. In the second round, he landed a vicious knee in the clinch that put Marx down. It didn’t take long for referee Jason Herzog to jump in and stop the bout.

Brennan Ward defeats Mikkel Parlo at 1:39 of round 2

Ward and Parlo went back and forth to claim the title of Middleweight tournament champion. But, in the second round, Ward caught Parlo with a stiff left hand that dropped Parlo to the mat. He immediately clinched up to capitalize on the advantage. From there he unleashed a series of absolutely brutal body shot with his right hand. Parlo managed to get away, but his inability to defend forced the referee to stop the fight.

Derek Campos defeats Martin Stapleton by unanimous decision

Over the 3 round fight, Campos completely outworked and outclassed Campos in their 157 lb. catchweight bout. He started landing early with the lead left hook. Almost all of his takedowns throughout the fight led to him controlling Stapleton in dominant position. He wasn’t able to get the finish, but definitely proved he was the better fighter.
