We all know that Chael Sonnen has never shied away from controversy. In the lead-up to his two fights with Anderson Silva, he had a lot to say about Brazil and their fighters. Now that he is one of the coaches on The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 opposite Wanderlei Silva, some of his comments might come back to haunt him. But in a recent media scrum, Sonnen said that he might even give Silva a call to help him out on the show:
“Who knows, I may reach out to Anderson and see if he wants to be on the coaching staff with me.”
He did also say that he’d like to compete against Anderson for a third time right after that though, so take it for what it’s worth. Filming is set to begin late in 2013 after Sonnen meets Rashad Evans in the co-main event of UFC 167. Silva is currently gearing up for his rematch with Chris Weidman at UFC 168 in late December.
