In a bit of good news, it appears that every fighter on the UFC Fight Night 29 card last week in Brazil has passed their drug screenings. Testing is handled for Brazilian events by their commission, CABMMA. MMA Fighting has the news:

Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) tested every fighter before their bouts on Oct. 9 in Barueri, Brazil. After the bouts, the headliners – Demian Maia and Jake Shields – were tested again, in addition to four other randomly selected fighters.

While it’s certainly not unusual for every fighter on a card to pass their post-fight test, this card is a little different in that four of the twenty fighters have failed tests before. Headliner Jake Shields, Thiago Silva, Rousimar Palhares, and Joey Beltran have all been suspended for various infractions in the past three years, and two of them were coming directly off suspensions.

Palhares was released by the UFC after the event for holding onto a submission for too long. He was also subsequently suspended by the commission for 120 days.
