Transgender WMMA Featherweight Fallon Fox has been one of the most controversial subjects in MMA throughout most of 2013. Prior to the October 11 CFA 12, Fox had gone undefeated in her first three bouts. However, she was overwhelmed when she met Ashlee Evans-Smith in the cage. Evans-Smith poured on the ground and pound in their fight to secure a 3rd round TKO victory. You can check out highlights from the fight here.
Following Fox’s first loss, fighters from the UFC, Invicta, and other organizations took to twitter in response to the outcome. While some, like Carla Esparza who has trained with Ashlee in the past, seemed to genuinely support the victor, others like Claudia Gadelha were much more aggressive.
