Saturday October 12, #1 kickboxing organization Glory returns with Glory 11 Chicago. This is a huge show for the company as they make their much anticipated debut on Spike TV in the US. The Spike broadcast will air live Saturday night with a fight time of 9:00 p.m. ET. Bloody Elbow will have live fight night coverage including results and discussion right here.
For the benefit of those fans not in the US, a Glory 11 live stream is available right here at Bloody Elbow. Note that this stream is geo-blocked in the US.
Since this is the Spike debut, it looks like Glory is trying to make a splash with a loaded card. The night’s featured fights see three of the top pound for pound kickboxers in the world in action. In the main event, rising MMA fighter and kickboxing star Tyrone Spong takes on Nathan Corbett in what should be a great, heated fight. These two met a few years ago, with Corbett knocking Spong out, only to have a chaotic post-fight altercation lead to the fight being ruled a No Contest. The two men have not settled the score since – look for this to be a great, highly personal affair.
The other main action features a huge 4 man Heavyweight tournament including both Daniel Ghita and Gokhan Saki. Ghita and Saki are two of the very best in the world. They’ve met twice before with Saki winning both encounters. Now, they may be headed to fight #3 in Chicago, provided they first get by the tough challenges of Rico Verhoeven and Anderson “Braddock” Silva – two very skilled and capable spoilers.
Add in Errol Zimmerman vs. Hesdy Gerges, Sergei Kharitonov, and a host of other terrific fights and you have one hell of a card. The full Glory 11 Chicago fight card is below.
Join us here at Bloody Elbow Saturday night for results, discussion, and live fight night coverage as we present Glory 11 Chicago.
