Saturday October 12, Bloody Elbow presents live fight coverage of Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Timothy Bradley, live on PPV. The HBO Boxing Bradley vs. Marquez PPV airs live this Saturday, October 12 with a fight time of 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT. Bloody Elbow will have live fight coverage, including results and discussion, right here.

This is an interesting event because while it’s by no means a bad fight, it does feel a bit out of place on PPV. This year, HBO and Showtime will produce a total of 4 PPV events – and this will be the only one of those four not headlined by either Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao. Featured instead are two very talented fighters who could possibly be real draws. After all, Marquez is coming off his epic KO victory over Pacquiao, while Bradley is coming off a very high -profile fight with Pacquiao, followed by the Fight of the Year with Ruslan Provodnikov. In short, both men are known to the PPV buying casual crowd. But just a few weeks after Mayweather vs. Canelo, a few weeks before Pacquiao vs. Rios, and at a time when there are plenty of terrific fights on HBO and Showtime every week, will fans pay for this? That remains to be seen.

What also remains to be seen is just how competitive this fight will be. It’s entirely possible that Marquez is just a step above, and that the beating taken at the hands of Provodnikov will make this a short night for Bradley. On the other hand, Bradley is undefeated, and against all odds, he keeps finding a way to win. Can he somehow keep that streak alive on Saturday?

Bradley vs. Marquez caps off a four fight PPV card that also features a potential show-stealer in Orlando Salido vs. Orlando Cruz, plus the pro debut of two time Olympic Gold medalist Vasyl Lomachenko.
