ONE FC’s 11th show is coming up, and officials have announced the final match ups for their October 18 event in their home-base of Singapore. Unbeaten light heavyweight prospect Jake Butler (3-0), who started his young MMA career this February, will have another quick turn around as he is set to have his fourth fight this year, against a Judo black belt in Sylvain Potard (5-4).
Butler is a Division I wrestler who decided to quit his job in Wall Street and start an MMA career in Asia, and has quickly beaten all three of his opponents recently. He most recently submitted James Kouame at ONE FC 10, and will be returning to the ONE FC cage a month after. Potard on the other hand, is a relatively unknown fighter from France, but with his extensive Judo background he could pose some interesting challenges stylistically against the American wrestler.
Also added for a card is a bout that’s a bit of a throwback to MMA’s earlier days with two world champion specialists gunning for each other. Kun Khmer champ Khim Dima of Cambodia will take on one of the most decorated Wushu World Champs in Rene Catalan from the Philippines.
