The latest iteration of The Ultimate Fighter Finale will go down on November 30th in Vegas, and the promotion has added an intriguing featherweight bout to the card. Maximo Blanco will meet Akira Corassani. MMA Junkie recently shared the news via Blanco’s management team.
Blanco (9-4-1), a Venezuelan national, is a former King of Pancrase and Sengoku vet. After a brief stop in Strikeforce as a lightweight, He is 1-1 as a featherweight in the UFC. His last bout was a unanimous decision win over Sam Sicilia at the TUF 17 Finale in April.
Corassani (11-3. 1 NC), a semi-finalist on TUF 14, has won both of his official UFC bouts to date. The most recent was a surprising unaminous decision win over Robert Peralta at UFC on Fuel 9 in April.
The bout will likely take place on the undercard of the Mandalay Bay show. The show will be headlined by a flyweight title rematch between champion Demetrious Johnson and challenger Joseph Benavidez.
