Bellator signs deal with Fox Sports Latin America

In a somewhat surprising move, Bellator has inked a multi-year deal with Fox Sports Latin America. The agreement will put Bellator’s programming in more than 50 million homes in 19 Latin American countries.

The partnership will officially kick off in October when the network will begin broadcasting Bellator 360, previous Bellator events and other content from the fight promotion. The first live Bellator event that will be broadcast on the network will be the November 2 fight card featuring Quinton “Rampage” Jackson versus Tito Ortiz, as well as Michael Chandler versus Eddie Alvarez.

According to a press release, in 2015 the network will broadcast more than 25 live Bellator events, including “in-territory” events that will be shown on Fox Sports and FoxSportsPlay.com.

Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney offered the following on the partnership:

The possibilities that surround this alliance are nearly endless, including live events in key Latin American markets and the distribution of unique Bellator content exclusively for FOX Sports.
