Dana White is the rare promoter who talks openly about his own personal pound-for-pound rankings. While for many media members and fans, P4P rankings are simply a mostly meaningless snapshot of who they think is the best in the sport at that moment, Dana has the power to where his rankings can have serious meaning in terms of booking and negotiations.
Today, the UFC twitter account tweeted out Dana’s top five P4P fighters during the media event:
Dana says his top 5 pound-for-pound fighters currently are JBJ, Anderson, GSP, Renan & Aldo

You’ll notice that Chris Weidman is missing while Anderson Silva is the second man mentioned, this despite Weidman’s knockout of Silva earlier this year.
That would seem to put Dana in the “do it again and I’m on board” camp with many others.
Also noticeable in their absence: Cain Velasquez, Demetrious Johnson and Anthony Pettis. Obviously a top five doesn’t have room for nine, but those men (and Alexander Gustafsson if you’re the stubborn type that is still holding on to the idea that he somehow was robbed against Jones) are the men whose exclusion will draw the most vocal arguments.
