Dustin Kimura vs. Mitch Gagnon — Bantamweight bout

A kickboxing match broke out in this grappler vs. grappler affair, and both fighters looked quite technically sound on the feet. Kimura and Gagnon came out with guns blazing: Gagnon led the charge with heavy and aggressive punches while Kimura took a moment to withstand the barrage before returning fire. Both men relied mainly on their left hooks, which made up the vast majority of their striking offense and were sent streaking downstairs for vicious body shots.

Gagnon was getting the better of the initial duel with stiff punches and low kicks until Kimura hammered him with a left to the breadbasket. Gagnon responded with a rushing salvo of punches that morphed into a menacing guard-pull and guillotine choke. And I mean menacing. Kimura was out cold by the time ref checked on him. This was Mitch Gagnon’s best performance to date.
