The UFC will return to Brazil once again on October 9th, this time for the second Brazilian installment of their Fight Night series. The card will take place in Barueri, Brazil, and features a welterweight bout as the headliner. The streaking Demian Maia will take on former Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields in what could turn out to be one of the better grappling matches of the year (if it goes to the ground).
Another big welterweight bout has been announced for the event as well, with Brazilian prospect Erick Silva taking on South Korean fighter Dong Hyun Kim. Also featured on the card are TUF Brazil featherweight champ Rony Jason, popular light heavyweight Thiago Silva, and the welterweight debut of Rousimar Palhares.
