The UFC wasted no time booking two fighters who were both knocked out in the month of August.  Heavyweights Frank Mir and Alistair Overeem will clash on November 16th as part of UFC 167:

Mir (16-8) has lost 3 in a row, and Josh Barnett needed less than 2 minutes to dispose of him with a big knee in the co-main event of UFC 164. The former UFC champion protested the stoppage, but it looked like he went limp after the knockdown and was only prone to heavy punches from Barnett on the ground.

Overeem (36-13, 1 NC) nearly finished Travis Browne in the co-main of UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs. Sonnen, but instead found himself knocked out by a Browne front kick. It’s his second straight loss, with the other coming by brutal 3rd round KO against Antonio Silva, and his time in the UFC has been considered a major disappointment.

The two men have been knocked out a combined 15 times in their MMA careers: 7 for Mir and 8 for Overeem.

UFC 167 features a main event of Georges St. Pierre/Johny Hendricks, a co-main event between Rashad Evans/Chael Sonnen, plus a welterweight feature bout between Rory MacDonald and Robbie Lawler.
