Conor McGregor slams Diego Sanchez following fight-night commentary tweets

Following his self-admitted lackluster decision victory over Max Holloway at last weekend’s UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs. Sonnen, Irish featherweight Conor McGregor has certainly managed to keep our attention. Rather than falling off the grid as some do after fights, McGregor took the elite of the UFC’s featherweights to task last night via Twitter. Granting his fellow 145-pounders just cursory and somewhat insulting appraisals, McGregor spoiled Sanchez with 122 characters of vitriol, calling him ‘fat, sloppy and slow.’

Going back to Saturday evening, It looks like McGregor took exception to some of Sanchez’ commentary regarding his ascension as one of the UFC’s rising stars.

Now the better part of a week later, McGregor returns the favor with some observations of his own.

Sanchez is due back in action against former Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez at UFC 166 in October. Although not directed at anyone in particular, Sanchez seemed to address the spat with the following tweets:
