Another day, another dollar. The UFC is back in your life once again with their first event on Fox Sports 1, and they’re going to stay busy with two more events this month. This show from Boston is one of the better free cards you’ll ever see, and is stacked with fights that can’t be described as blowouts from a betting perspective. Here’s a look at the lines for UFC Fight Night 26, or UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs. Sonnen, or whatever they’re calling it this week:

Despite my retirement, I can still offer some advice (which you should take with a grain of salt, considering my 2013 so far). I’d personally stay away from the main event because you never know which Mauricio Rua is going to show up. And if it goes deep into the fight, his cardio might falter under Sonnen’s punishing wrestling. I like Alistair Overeem to beat Travis Browne, but I’m not sure I like him at -210. To me, the best bet on the main card is undoubtedly Joe Lauzon at under -220. Johnson’s weakness is submission defense, and Lauzon is a beast on the ground. It’s all batboy in my eyes. Mike Pyle might be worth a look too.

On the undercard, I don’t see a lot. I like almost all of the fights, but nothing jumps out at me betting-wise. Sorry.

And that’s a wrap for this week. I’ll be back at you in 11 days to talk about my favorite fight card of the summer, UFC Fight Night: Condit vs. Kampmann 2.
