
Pacific X-Treme Combat hosted their 38th major event in their home country of Guam this past weekend. Fan favorites Josh Calvo, Frank Camacho, and Kyle Augon all picked up quality wins of the card, but in terms of rankings, the most notable fight on the card from from the smallest guy on the line up.
Thailand’s Rambaa Somdet, who according to Fight Matrix was the number 1 ranked strawweight in the world, moved up to flyweight to compete on the card. The DEEP and Shooto veteran faced off against a fellow striker in Rabin Catalan. After exchanging powerful kicks and knees early on, Somdet displayed an evolving MMA game and choked out the Filipino for the first submission win of his career.
