The overnight ratings for UFC on Fox 8 are in and it’s a bit of good news, bad news. For starters, the ratings were tops among 18-49 year olds, but they were also down significantly from the last Fox show in April.
TV By The Numbers with the details:
FOX was number one with adults 18-49, while CBS won with total viewers.
ON FOX, UFC garnered a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating down 40 percent from a 1.5 for the most recent FOX on UFC event on April 20.
The competition for the show were things like a replay 48 Hours, a replay of American Ninja Warrior, Zero Hour (I have no clue what that is), The Longest Yard, Norbit (this is at least the second time a UFC on Fox went head-to-head with Norbit), and a replay of Get Out Alive.
In terms of total viewership (all viewers, not just 18-49): Fox pulled 2.040 total viewers, CBS 2.993, ABC 2.1 and NBC 1.706.
So, while they won the night in the coveted viewership demographic, they weren’t really up against much for competition and it is just reality that dipping 40% from the last show isn’t good in any way.
