ONE Fighting Championship will return to Jakarta, Indonesia on September 13 and it will be headlined by two of the top flyweights in the region in Shinichi Kojima (13-5-5) and Andrew Leone (6-2).

This bout was originally set to be the grudge match between Shooto legends, with “BJ” taking on Yasuhiro Urushitani for the inaugural ONE FC flyweight championship, until the latter was sidelined and forced off the card. Kojima will instead be in a non-title affair when he takes on another surging flyweight in Leone, who is a talented wrestler coming off a win over Geje Eustaquio at ONE FC 9. It may not be the title fight that was initially promised, but with these two men being high level grapplers in their own regard, it should prove to be an interesting stylistic battle.

Co-headlining the card is the return of former ONE FC lightweight champion Kotetsu Boku (20-8-2), as he takes on a former Muay Thai champ in Vuyisile Colossa (5-4). This promises to be an exciting stand up bout, and the Korean-Japanese fighter will surely have his hands full as he will test his technical boxing skills against Colossa’s vicious Muay Thai. The Hong Kong-based South African may have lost to top lightweight stars such as Lowen Tynanes, Nam Yui Chul, and Eduard Folayang, but don’t let his record fool you. Styles make fights, and Boku’s strengths seem to play well into Colossa’s skill set, so this should be a treat for the fans.

Boku lost his ONE FC title after getting submitted by Shinya Aoki at ONE FC 8 last April. With the “Tobikan Judan” planning on dropping down to featherweight though, it will soon be open season once again at the lightweight division, and these two fighters will look to climb back up to contention.

Also announced for the card is Division I wrestler and Evolve MMA product, Jake Butler, who will look to go to 3-0 when he faces Canadian Karate expert James Kouame (1-1).
