Bellator 97 fight card set with Chandler vs. Rickels and Askren vs. Koreshkov

Bellator 97 – which takes place Jul. 31, 2013 from the Santa Ana Star Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico – looks to be finalized. Sitting atop the 14 bout card are two title fights featuring lightweight and welterweight champions Michael Chandler and Ben Askren, respectively.

The night’s main card will also feature both light heavyweight and heavyweight tournament finals between Muhammed Lawal and Jacob Noe and Ryan Martinez vs. Vitaly Minakov.Also, Rob Emerson faces Patricio Freire in a feature featherweight bout.

Additionally, the event will feature the promotional debut of former NCAA wrestling champion Bubba Jenkins as he looks to stay undefeated against Albuquerque native Mike Barreras. All of the preliminary card fights will be streamed live and free on SPIKE.com starting at 4:00 p.m. MST.
