UFC 160 will feature a Heavyweight title fight between champion Cain Velasquez and challenger Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva and a #1 contender’s bout between former champ Junior dos Santos and Mark Hunt. The event will air live on pay-per-view from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 25.
Velasquez previously fought Silva at UFC 146, demolishing him via first round TKO. Dos Santos lost the title to Velasquez at UFC 155 in December, 2012. He was originally scheduled to face Dutch star Alistair Overeem at UFC 160.
Mark Hunt is enjoying one of the most improbable runs in UFC history. He came into the UFC on a five-fight losing streak and dropped his UFC debut to Sean McCorkle at UFC 119. Only an airtight contract left over from Hunt’s days with Pride Fighting Championship allowed him to get another chance in the UFC. Since then he’s reeled off four straight wins over Chris Tuchscherer, Ben Rothwell, Cheick Kongo and Stefan Struve.
