The next World Series of Fighting event is all set for Friday, June 14th in Las Vegas. WSOF 3 takes place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, and officials made the card official today in a press release. Former UFC welterweight contender Jon Fitch headlines the show against fellow ex-UFC veteran Josh Burkman. The two men fought on a UFC Fight Night card in 2006, with Fitch winning by 2nd round submission. Their upcoming rematch will not be a title fight, as WSOF has put title belts on hold indefinitely.
Other fights booked for the event are as follows:
Main Card
– Tyrone Spong (1-0) vs. Angel DeAnda (11-2) in the light-heavyweight division. Also listed as the co-main event.
– Rolles Gracie (8-1) vs. Dave Huckaba (21-4) in the heavyweight division
– Justin Gaethje (8-0) vs. Brian Cobb (20-7) in the lightweight division
Preliminary Card
– John Gunderson (34-14) vs. Dan Lauzon (16-4) in the lightweight division.
– Krasimir Mladenov (8-0) vs. Kendrick Miree (5-0) in the lightweight division.
Lightweights Jacob Volkmann and Lyle Beerbohm are also reportedly set to meet on this card.
Tickets go on sale April 19th at 12 PM PT. The night’s main card kicks off at 11 PM ET/8 PM PT on NBC Sports Network.
