In the only Heavyweight bout of the night, Travis Browne looked to come back from his first career loss against Grabriel Gonzaga. Browne gave up a first round TKO to current contender Bigfoot Silva at UFC On FX 5. Gonzaga had retired after a 2010 loss to Brendan Schaub, but has gone 2-0 since returning to the UFC.
Right off the bat, Gonzaga ducked under a high kick to grab the single leg. Browne gets up quickly and Gonzaga looked for a takedown against the cage. Gonzaga grabbed for the single and Browne laid into him with elbows to the side of the head. Gonzaga dropped and the referee stopped the fight. Definitely worth noting that the last two shots were right on the back of the head.
