Dana White announced the post-fight bonuses for today’s UFC on Fuel 9 card in Stockholm, Sweden. While the UFC had recently stated all bonuses would be $50,000 from PPV to Fuel TV, tonight’s were worth $60,000, and here are the four recipients:
Fight of the Night – Brad Pickett def. Mike Easton by split decision
Knockout of the Night – Conor McGregor def. Marcus Brimage (1st round TKO via punches)
Submission of the Night – Reza Madadi def. Michael Johnson (3rd round anaconda choke)
Some stats on the bonus winners:
- Brad Pickett has been with Zuffa since 2009 (when he fought in the WEC). This is Pickett’s 5th post-fight bonus and 3rd in the UFC. Overall, he’s collected 3 FOTNs, 1 KOTN, and 1 SOTN.
- This is Mike Easton’s first post-fight bonus in his five fight UFC career, but unfortunately it comes in a losing effort.
- Conor McGregor is the first Irishman (Marcus Davis doesn’t count) to win a UFC fight. He also joins Ryan Jimmo and Ben Alloway as recent KOTN winners in their respective UFC debuts.
- Reza Madadi earns his first post-fight bonus whilst notching his second UFC win.
There were plenty of finishes and action packed fights today. Do you agree or disagree with the decisions?
