The prelim portion of the card breaks down like this:
Lightweight – Reza Madadi vs. Michael Johnson
Middleweight – Tor Troeng vs. Adam Cella
Welterweight – Chris Spang vs. Adlan Amagov
Featherweight – Marcus Brimage vs. Conor McGregor
Welterweight – Ben Alloway vs. Ryan LaFlare
Middleweight – Michael Kuiper vs. Tom Lawlor
Welterweight – Papy Abedi vs. Besam Yousef

Besam Yousef vs. Papy Abedi – Round 1 – Abedi popping some leg kicks early while Yousef paws with his lead hand before landing a low kick of his own. The two men continue to trade low kicks through the first minute and a half. They clinch up and Yousef throws a few punches before Abedi takes him down. Abedi passes to the half guard and Yousef lands an elbow to the top of the head and regains full guard. Abedi postures up and lands some big punches to the body and head. Yousef turns, looking to stand up and Abedi crushes his body with a knee. Abedi has the clinch as he stands up and lands a few good punches while Abedi tries to knee to the body more. Good elbow from Yousef and some body shots. Abedi throwing more knees to the body and he secures another takedown as time expires. 10-9 Abedi.
Round 2 – Abedi throws a hard shot and Yousef clinches up with him and pushes him into the cage, working in the clinch and digging to the body. Good uppercut by Yousef and throws a few follow-up shots. Abedi ends up with another takedown and he’s working some punches but Yousef is still getting some elbows in off his back. Quick stand-up by the ref. Yousef with a leg kick and Abedi throws a wild left before they clinch up and Yousef starts throwing some good punches and then sprawls to stuff the takedown. Hard elbow by Yousef. Yousef is really starting to tag him and Abedi’s shots are more out of desperation now. Yousef has just taken this fight over now. 10-9 Yousef.
Round 3 -Abedi trying to keep distance early with some long kicks. Yousef lands a hard left that sends Abedi back into the cage. Yousef with a knee to the body and some more body punches. Abedi with a knee to the body. Now Abedi turns into him and gets a trip takedown. Abedi preventing Yousef from getting up and he lands some good shots. Yousef finds a little space and springs to his feet and clinches up, landing some knees to the body. Yousef with some elbows to the head now. Now Yousef gets the takedown and he’s starting to work his ground and pound. Awful, quick stand-up from the ref and Yousef pushes in landing some shots again. I’m probably in the minority but I gave that to Yousef also. 29-28 Yousef in my eyes.

Michael Kuiper vs. Tom Lawlor – Round 1 -Lawlor comes out looking for a takedown against the cage while Kuiper defends, so Lawlor drops down and is still pushing for the takedown. Kuiper with a short elbow as he keeps defending the takedown. Lawlor pushing him across the cage and still not getting the takedown. Kuiper is able to get a little space and land a knee as Lawlor keeps working for the takedown. Kuiper with a trip and he is the one who gets the takedown but Lawlor is able to stand up. Kuiper with another takedown and he lands some good punches. Lawlor gets up and Kuiper picks him up and slams him. They stand back up, Lawlor goes for a takedown that he can’t finish and they’re restarted. Kuiper with another takedown off a failed attempt by Lawlor and busts him up and the round ends. 10-9 Kuiper.
Round 2- Lawlor looking for a guillotine off a Kuiper takedown. Kuiper has an arm in. Lawlor keeps cranking and Kuiper taps. Wow…okay then. Tom Lawlor wins by submission (guillotine choke), round 2.
Ben Alloway vs. Ryan LaFlare – Round 1 – They clinch up and LaFlare gets a takedown from a body lock and has side control right away. LaFlare is really controlling him here but Alloway gets to his feet while LaFlare stays on top of him throwing knees against the cage. LaFlare with another takedown. Now he lands a few punches and is working to take the back while landing some good shots. Alloway manages to get back to standing. LaFlare lands a good knee and now gets another takedown. LaFlare lands some good elbows now. More good elbows from LaFlare and he passes to side control again. LaFlare lands a big knee as Alloway stands up. The round ends. 10-9 LaFlare.
Round 2 – LaFlare with a takedown off the clinch again. Alloway tries for a triangle, but nothing there. Alloway is able to get up and LaFlare starts to work him over a bit again. LaFlare is hurting him now and knocks him down with a leg kick and lands a hard flurry of strikes before Alloway catches a leg and gets a takedown. LaFlare is dominating the fight. 10-9 LaFlare again.
Round 3 -LaFlare with another takedown and he’s on top looking to set up a d’arce while passing but Alloway defends well. Alloway gets up but gets taken right back down. He keeps throwing up triangle attempts that don’t go anywhere while LaFlare just patiently works him over. Alloway manages to get the back on the ground but LaFlare spins out of it and is back on top. Safe, comfortable decision win for LaFlare.
Official scorecards: 30-27 across the board. Ryan LaFlare wins by unanimous decision.
Marcus Brimage vs. Conor McGregor – Round 1 – Brimage is coming out fast, throwing a lot of punches while McGregor tries to find a spinning hook kick. Brimage landing well early. Conor lands a hard shot and now a hard front kick. Brimage got stung a bit by those shots. Conor lands some good shots and Brimage drops! McGregor follows up several shots on the ground and Brimage is split open and done. Conor McGregor wins by TKO (punches), round 1.
Chris Spang vs. Adlan Amagov – Round 1 – Spang throwing some kicks and Amagov misses a spinning kick to the body. Amagov with a side kick to the body that knocks Spang to the ground for a second. Amagov throws a head kick but slips to the ground but is back up quickly. Amagov with a hard leg kick and a spinning heel kick to the thigh. Amagov keeps throwing sharp leg kicks and moving just enough to avoid return kicks or punches from Spang. Amagov with a good takedown as the round ends. 10-9 Amagov.
Round 2 -Amagov with a hard headkick and then gets inside for a takedown. Spang gets back up and Amagov takes him down again. Amagov is on top in Spang’s closed guard. The fighters are stood up for lack of action after a bit and Spang lands a leg kick. Amagov just has Spang completely unsure of what to do now. 10-9 Amagov.
Round 3 – Spang is trying to come forward and misses a few kicks. Spang lands an uppercut and Amagov answers with a head kick that misses. Amagov with an uppercut of his own. Leg kicks continue from Amagov. Front kick lands for Amagov. Amagov gets a takedown but Spang gets back up. Amagov has the back standing up and is landing some knees to the leg and a head kick from inside the clinch…which was odd. One sided fight.
Official scorecards: 30-27 across the board. Adlan Amagov wins by unanimous decision.
Tor Troeng vs. Adam Cella – Round 1 – Cella with a nice combo and Tor backs away before coming forward again. Cella is the more aggressive of the two but that aggression gets him taken down by Tor. Tor is pretty clearly working him over on the feet and now Cella gives up the back and Tor gets a hook in. Tor gets the second hook in, lands a flurry of punches and locks in the choke for the finish. Tor Troeng wins by submission (rear naked choke), round 1.
Reza Madadi vs. Michael Johnson – Round 1 – Reza out with a leg kick and Johnson throws a left hand. Kick by Johnson and Madadi tries to push in to smother it. Madadi with a right hand. My feed died on me and when it came back Madadi was looking for a leg lock but Johnson avoided and remained on top of Madadi on the ground. Madadi reverses, Johnson reverses right back and is on top again. Johnson with a head kick as they stand and Madadi is badly hurt. Johnson follows up with big strikes and Madadi is almost out but survives to the end of the round. 10-9 Johnson.
Round 2 -Johnson is out looking for the head kick again but Madadi ducks under and gets a takedown and gets a hook in and now is in the mount and throwing big punches. He is doing some real damage but Johnson escapes and gets back to his feet. Madadi back on top on the ground, landing some good shots. Johnson is just covering up while Madadi does basically whatever he wants to him as the round wears on. 10-9 Madadi.
Round 3 -Madadi is looking for the takedown again and he gets it but Johnson counters and Madadi reverses and is still on top. Madadi locks up a brabo choke and Johnson taps. Wow, that’s quite the comeback. Reza Madadi wins by submission (brabo choke), round 3.
