ONE FC 8 happens in a few weeks in Singapore, and it will be headlined by a lightweight title bout as Kotetsu Boku will look to defend his belt against DREAM Champion, Shinya Aoki. The clip above is a video released by the promotion to preview the main event bout.
Last October, the Shooto veteran in Boku won the inaugural ONE FC lightweight crown after a thrilling come from behind victory over Evolve MMA’s Zorobabel Moreira. Aoki has since been calling Boku out to try and avenge the loss of his friend and training partner, and on April 5, he will finally get his wish.
Also on the card, another lightweight prospect from Evolve MMA steps in the cage as Eddie Ng takes on Aoki’s last opponent, Arnaud Lepont. Ng has won his first two ONE FC bouts in spectacular fashion, stopping two opponents in just 88 seconds, and it will be interesting if he can continue his impressive run. Check out the preview below:
The Singapore-based camp in Evolve MMA will have 5 fighters competing on the card, and they have also released a well made preview video of their own, which documents their training camp:
Also on the card to look out for are the middleweight match up between Melvin Manhoef and Brock Larson, along with semifinal bouts of the ONE FC Bantamweight GP featuring Jens Pulver, Masakatsu Ueda, Kevin Belingon, and Thanh Vu.
