The UFC normally has its top fighters participate in open workout sessions during fight week, and UFC 158 in Montreal is no different. Nick Diaz was scheduled to take part in today’s event, which is free to the public, but it looks like that will not happen. According to Ariel Helwani, Diaz won’t be showing up at all:
Diaz, who is fighting Georges St. Pierre for the welterweight title on Saturday, was removed from his first title chance against GSP after he no-showed a scheduled media conference.
Cesar Gracie later tweeted that “we” (assuming him and Nick) want to reschedule Diaz’s open workout:
Bloody Elbow will provide updates as soon as they are available.
