Within a matter of days the UFC has had to some fight reshuffling both at the top and bottom of the UFC 158 card. Yesterday we told you that Canadian bantamweight Mitch Gagnon withdrew from his fight with Issei Tamura due to injury, and today his replacement has been confirmed. TUF 14 runner-up T.J. Dillashaw has stepped in on a month’s notice according to Neil Davidson of the Canadian Press:
Dillashaw (6-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) fights out of Team Alpha Male with the likes of Urijah Faber, Danny Castillo, and Chad Mendes. Since losing the TUF 14 finale to John Dodson by TKO, Dillashaw has racked up dominant wins over Walel Watson and Vaughan Lee. He was slated to fight Mike Easton in December, but an injury put him out of commission. Obviously he’s healthy enough to fight on March 16th against Tamura on the preliminary card of UFC 158.
