Both Welterweights came into this fight looking to get back on track. In his last fight and UFC debut, Stumpf gave up a first round triangle choke to T.J. Waldburger. While Krauss lost a decision to John Hathaway in his last match.
Krauss and Stumpf decided the ground game was completely unnecessary in the first round. The two traded on the feet for the first five minutes, with Krauss landing the better blows and rocking Stumpf late in the round. Second round was going well for Krauss where he landed another superman-uppercut, but then went for a takedown and ended up getting reversed. He did get back up and back in control. The final round went off like the first two, Stumpf just had no answer for the length and superior striking of Krauss. Pascal Krauss def. Mike Stumpf via unanimous decision (30-27 x 3).
