Donald Cerrone goes rock climbing a week before UFC On Fox 6, Dana White not amused

UFC Lightweight has a big fight just around the corner against Anthony Pettis at UFC On Fox 6. The contest was originally supposed to go down in the summer of 2012, but an injury and subsequent surgery for Pettis left Cerrone fighting teammate Melvin Guillard at UFC 150 instead.

Now, with the fight he’s been waiting for coming up in only a week, Cerrone decided to go rock climbing. UFC president Dana White didn’t seem happy with his decision:

Considering the amount of injuries that have hurt UFC cards over the last several months, White definitely has cause to be concerned. But there’s another issue at play as well. Back in October, Cerrone revealed in an interview that new UFC fight contracts prohibited many “dangerous activities,” which almost certainly includes rock climbing.

When he originally spoke about the restrictions, Cerrone brushed them off say, ” I’m just wild and crazy and I need these things.” However, if he does end up injured from one of these activities, he could find himself in hot water with the UFC brass.
