UFC 157: Ronda Rousey vs. Liz Carmouche to be featured in Primetime special

The first women’s bout in UFC history will get all the help it needs in terms of drawing PPV buys. The UFC has decided that the main event fight between Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche will be featured in the 12th installment of UFC Primetime, which will air on FX and Fuel TV in the leadup to the February 23rd bout in Anaheim.

The show will be aired in its usual three-episode format. The first episode will debut on Friday, February 8th at Midnight ET/9 p.m. PT on Fuel. Episodes two and three will air on February 15th and 22nd in the same timeslot. FX will air each episode the day after at 11 a.m ET/PT.

Rousey (6-0) quickly rose to become a breakout star in Strikeforce, and the UFC was just as quick to jump on the hoopla and bring her into their organization. She’ll defend her newly-minted title against Carmouche (7-2), a former Marine who is the first openly gay fighter in UFC history.
