Invicta FC 4: Carla Esparza (114.8) vs. Bec Hyatt (115.0) live weigh in results

In their last event, Invicta introduced their first championship when Jessica Penne defeated Naho Sugiyama to win the Atomweight belt. Tomorrow, Carla Esparza and Bec Hyatt will face off to crown the first ever Invicta FC Strawweight champion. In the co-main event, Bantamweight Shayna Baszler will rematch Alexis Davis. The two first met in 2010 with Baszler coming out on top with a unanimous decision. In the meantime Baszler’s gone 3-1 with her only loss to rising prospect and former Olympian Sara McMann, while Davis has gone 5-2 with losses to Elaina Maxwell and former Strikeforce champion Sarah Kaufman.

But before that, all 24 fighters will need to weigh in. The weigh ins will begin Friday at 6 pm EST (3 pm PST) and will stream live from Invicta’s website or right here on Bloody Elbow.

Veronica Rothenhausler tried again and hit the 146 lb. limit. She was fined 10% of her purse for missing weight on the first attempt.
