Ex-UFC Light Heavyweight champ Forrest Griffin had to pull out of his UFC 155 bout with Phil Davis three weeks ago with a torn MCL and strained ACL.

Today Forrest tweeted out a photo of his knee with the following message:

Griffin last fought against Tito Ortiz at UFC 148 in July. He took a unanimous decision over Ortiz in their third fight. He’d beaten Ortiz in a split decision at UFC 106 and lost to Ortiz at UFC 59 in 2006.

The 33-year-old Griffin has struggled with injuries and has openly struggled with motivation to continue his fighting career in the last couple of years.
