The world didn’t end yesterday, so that means that we can safely look at the early UFC schedule for 2013. January features no PPVs, which is a good thing, and the first FOX card of the new year is super-stacked, which is also a good thing.
Once again the main event is a title fight, this time the flyweights headline as champion Demetrious Johnson takes on TUF 14 bantamweight winner John Dodson. The supporting cast is just fantastic, as you have Quinton Jackson fighting Glover Teixeira in the co-main event, Donald Cerrone vs. Anthony Pettis as possible #1 contender at LW, and the FOX broadcast opens with Erik Koch vs. Ricardo Lamas. Heck, the preliminary card is stronger than most PPV prelims.
Hopefully the 3rd time is the charm for the UFC in Illinois, as UFC 90 and UFC on FOX 2 underwhelmed in some way, shape, or form.
Mark your calendars for January 26th at the United Center in Chicago, as this promises to be an unforgettable night of fights.
