Capping off the UFC On FX 6 prelims on FUEL TV, Chad Mendes faced off against Yaotzin Meza in the feature bout.

Chad Mendes vs. Yaotzin Meza That’s all I have to say about that. Meza did his best in the first round to stay on the outside of range. But that didn’t last long. Mendes ducked a lead hook from Meza and came over the top with a right hand. Chad Mendes wins via KO at of the first round.

Igor Pokrajac vs. Joey Beltran Beltran made a statement in the first round with his dirty boxing. Early in the round he pushed Igor against the cage. He alternated between pressuring with takedown attempts and short, violent flurries before clinching up. He had Pokrajac reeling for a second, but Igor caught him with a shot of his own. Second round, Pokrajac lands solid on the feet before getting wrapped up by Beltran again. They’re broken up after a Beltran low-blow. Beltran lands with a brutal flurry mixing uppercuts and hooks. Pokrajac showed a huge weakness in the clinch in this fight. He got bullied throughout the fight by a significantly smaller man. Fantastic use of body shots by The Mexecutioner in every round. Joey Beltran won the unanimous decision (30-27 x 3) victory over Igor Pokrajac.

Mike Pierce vs. Seth Baczynski – Pierce showed early that he was more than ready to turn this fight into a grinder. He got a takedown early though he didn’t do much with it. After Seth got back up, Pierce waited for the opportunity to take it back down. Second round followed the same pattern. Pierce was relentless with the takedown, but Bacszynski was able to find success on the feet as Pierce gassed. The third round was definitely Seth’s best, he landed well early, but still gave up multiple TD’s to Pierce. He’s the more active on the ground but judges tend to favor top control. Mike Pierce gets the unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) over Seth Bacszynski.
