UFC on Fox 5 did pretty well overall in the ratings battle. According to a release, the four-fight main card averaged 4.4 million viewers, and peaked at 5.7 million during the Ben Henderson vs. Nate Diaz main event. UFC on Fox 1 and 2 both did more average viewers (5.7 and 4.7 million respectively), but the event did much better than the last two events (2.4 million both times). It was an 87% increase over UFC on Fox 4.
Meanwhile, the preliminary card on FX drew an average of 1.2 million viewers. That’s up from the UFC 154 prelims, which averaged 980,000. This is the first time the UFC has put the Fox card prelims on FX, as they have always aired on Fuel before this. In terms of FX prelims overall, this event sits in the middle of what they usually get. The UFC 148 prelims drew the best number ever at an average of 1.8 million viewers, while the worst-performing show was the UFC 142 prelims which only drew 880,000.
