A pretty intriguing flyweight fight has been added to UFC 155. MMA Junkie reports John Moraga (11-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) will fight Chris Cariaso (14-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC) on the UFC’s end-of-year card.
Moraga, a wrestler out of Arizona State who trains with the likes of Ben Henderson at the MMA Lab in Arizona, debuted in August at UFC on FOX 4 and pulled off an impressive KO win against Ulysses Gomez. His lone loss was a decision against current #1 flyweight contender John Dodson back in 2010.
Cariaso is a former bantamweight, where he went a combined 2-2 in the WEC and UFC with losses to Renan Barao and Michael McDonald. Even after winning two fights in a row against Vaughan Lee and Takeya Mizugaki, he made the drop to flyweight and beat Josh Ferguson in July.
This fight will take place on the preliminary card, but it is unknown if it will be on FX or Facebook.
