Tonight’s UFC 154: St. Pierre vs. Condit card just got one fight shorter as the bout between Costa Philippou and Nick Ring has been cancelled. The news first came out on Costa’s Twitter account:

This continues a weird run of last minute cancellations of undercard fights for the UFC. The UFC Macao card saw a bout between David Mitchell and Hyun Gyu Lim cancelled when Lim wasn’t cleared by a doctor and the last FX show saw Jeremy Stephens arrested the morning of the bout.
These have no impact on ratings or buyrates but they do cause some ripples through the card.
Ring vs Philippou was scheduled for the main card which means that the bout between Patrick Cote and Alessio Sakara will probably be promoted to the main card. Which also means that one of the Facebook bouts will be promoted to FX. This also means a later event start time..etc.
