Last night, Robert Drysdale picked up his fifth consecutive first round submission at Legacy FC 15. In the main event, he faced off against Chris Reed (4-2). It didn’t take long at all for him to secure the takedown, and only seconds to get passed Reed’s guard. From there it seemed only a matter of time. After he gained mount, he isolated the arm and went for the tap. Drysdale has taken his time getting his feet wet in MMA, but if he wants to make a serious impression on the sport, he needs to start angling for better competition and a bigger venue.
Thomas de Almeida secured the other bi highlight of the night. As his opponent Cody Williams was coming in with a left uppercut, de Almeida landed with a standing elbow right on the button.
