You know the drill – it’s Friday, it’s UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter: Team Carwin vs. Team Nelson. The show airs tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET on FX, and be sure to join us here for live discussion.
After a pretty dull run things actually picked up with the best episode of the season last week (and, appropriately enough, the best ratings). This week, let’s hope they can keep the momentum going. Some questions we may (or may not) get answered this week:
- Who will take the last spot in the quarter-finals: Shane Carwin #3 pick Mike Ricci or Roy Nelson #1 Dominic Waters? I’m actually pretty interested in this fight, and think the winner will be the overall favorite. I’m leaning towards Ricci here.
- What will be the quarter-final fights? Last week’s preview said we would get the announcement tonight, and the coaches don’t seem very happy with the news. I suspect that means Ricci wins, giving us an even 4-4 from each team, and we get teammate vs. teammate match-ups, but we’ll see.
- Will Roy Nelson be forced to run again?
- Will we see another judging nightmare?
- What travesty of life will cause Michael Hill to hit the bottle?
- And, most importantly, will his housemates finally just let Julian Lane bang (bro)?
