Join us at Bloody Elbow tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. for a live stream and full play-by-play for the World Series of Fighting 1 preliminary card from Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. The event features a gaggle of ex-UFC, Strikeforce and Bellator talent, and the card looks pretty good from top to bottom. The preliminary portion of the card can be viewed on the stream above, while the main card will air in the United States on NBC Sports Network (formerly Versus). That kicks off at 10:30pm ET/7:30pm PT. The featured bout of the preliminary portion of the card is a lightweight fight between Brian Cobb and Ronys Torres.

UPDATE – WSoF, for some reason, isn’t broadcasting the last two prelims fights. They just shut down the stream. With two undercard bouts to go, and an hour and 45 minutes until the main card. Not sure what the hell they were thinking with that one.Sorry folks.
David Branch vs. Dustin Jacoby
Round 1 – Branch looked for a double leg early but got shut down. Jacoby landed a nice leg kick, but ate a stiff jab in return. Branch with a nice leg kick of his own, and scored a takedown. Jacoby looked to wall walk back up and did get to his feet, but Branch continued to keep him tied up. Jacoby finally got away and they reset in the middle. The two men stayed mostly stayed on the outside, exchanging single blows. 10-9 Branch.
Round 2 – Jacoby opened the second with two stuff rights and a body kick. Jacoby landed two nice straight right counters that backed Branch up both times. Left hook from Jacoby while Branch was throwing a leg kick. Branch got a lazy takedown attempt stuffed. His next attempt was more successful, and he took Jacoby’s back. Jacoby popped up and escaped right away though. Jacoby got back to the straight right and stuffed another takedown attempt. Branch’s jab was starting to connect. Jacoby missed with most of his strikes late. He still won the round though. 10-9 Jacoby.
Round 3 – Jacoby was throwing a lot early in the third, with jabs and winging rights. Branch was evading most of it though, and landed a couple of nice counters. Jacoby went for his own takedown but got stuffed. Jacoby suffered a cut over his left eye from a Branch jab. Branch with an inside leg kick, but Jacoby was scoring points with his jab. Jacoby starting winging the right more, and stuffed another takedown attempt from Branch. Branch responded with his own jabs and got circled away. Neither fighter could get the fight to the floor late. 10-9 Jacoby, and I have him winning a 29-28 decision.

Gesias Cavalcante vs. T.J. O’Brien
Round 1 – O’Brien got started with kicks, but Cavalcante took it to the ground. O’Brien immediately looked for a triangle, then an omoplata, while JZ dropped for a leg attack. O’Brien tried to squirm over the top, but JZ locked up a heel hook and got the tap. Wow, that was really quick. And after seeing the replay, it was pretty brutal too.

Josh Burkman vs. Gerald Harris
Round 1 – Burkman started off with a variety of low kicks. His inside kicks sounded pretty damaging. The two men clinched up against the cage and Burkman looked for a takedown. After some jockeying, he scooped Harris up and slammed him down into half guard. Harris got up to a seated position and the action stalled. Burkman landed three knees to the midsection. Harris made it back to his feet with two minutes to go in the round. Harris landed a strong knee to the face on the inside. Burkman changed stances a few times and went back to the kicks. Burkman landed a jumping knee but Harris caught him and backed him against the cage. The round ended there. 10-9 Burkman.
Round 2 – Harris pressed Burkman against the cage and looked for a takedown. Burkman reversed and they reset. Josh with two telegraphed rights that still landed. Burkman threw a side kick to the head that missed. Burkman charged forward for a takedown but got caught in a standing guillotine. Harris cranked away for a long time but didn’t have Burkman in serious trouble. Josh waved his finger at the ref, indicating that he was just fine. Burkman was stuck in it for over 90 seconds before he started throwing outside knees and finally escaped.Burkman landed a high kick, then a low kick. 10-9 Harris.
Round 3 – The two men threw down a bit, and Harris opened a cut over Burkman’s eye. Harris backed him up against the cage and landed a couple of nice punches. Burkman fought off a takedown attempt. Harris landed a short left, but Burkman’s counter landed as well. Harris looked for takedown against the cage but Burkman fought it off again. Burkman landed a solid counter that backed Harris up. He then landed a big combination inside that stumbled Harris, and he looked for his own guillotine. He gave it up and took Harris to the floor instead, and immediately advanced to mount with 30 seconds to go. Harris rolled over and Burkman took his back, but the round ended. 10-9 Burkman, and 29-28 overall.
