You didn’t think we’d get one event where the original main card came away unscathed, did you? A foot injury to bantamweight Kyung Ho Kang has forced him out of his fight with Alex Caceres at UFC on FUEL 6 next week in Macau. UFC officials have found a last-minute replacement, via MMA Junkie:
Kyung Ho Kang (11-6 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is out of a bantamweight fight against Alex Caceres (7-5 MMA, 2-3 UFC) with a foot injury, which has forced the UFC to turn to a late replacement in the form of Motonobu Tezuka (19-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC). Sources close to the promotion on Friday confirmed the change to MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com), saying verbal agreements are in place for the bout.
Not much is known about Tezuka, to be honest. The Japanese fighter is 25-years-old and is unbeaten in 15 of his last 16 fights. The bulk of his fights have come in Pancrase or DEEP shows. Tezuka has been submitted in 3 of his 4 losses and 13 of his 19 wins have gone the distance.
This fight is expected to remain on the main card, which airs live on FUEL TV at 9 AM ET/6 AM PT.
