We’re back again with this week’s Super Fight League – SFL 7. It was a fun day for the pinnacle of Indian MMA, especially if you’re a failed guillotine enthusiast. By my count there were at least 53 attempted guillotine chokes held for no less than 4 minutes each. In the co-main event, the Indian reincarnation of Kimo Leopoldo made a successful debut against a very timid opponent.
But the real match to watch was the headliner where Michael Page made his SFL debut. Page has been making a name for himself in the UK’s UCMMA promotion where fans have dubbed him “The British Anderson Silva.” From the moment the bell rang, Page made sure you knew he had Haitham Tantawy completely outclassed. He danced and countered for just over 2 minutes when the doctor stopped the fight for a cut. Page is scheduled to make his Bellator debut on November 30 at Bellator 82. It will definitely be exciting to see what he can do in their Welterweight division.
