Korean bantamweight Kyung Ho Kang (11-6) will have to wait a little longer to make his UFC debut. He was expected to face off with Alex Caceres at UFC on Fuel 6 on November 10th, but has suffered an injury and had to pull out. He explained the injury to the Korean Media (via Fighters Only):
“It was my own carelessness. Its so bad,” he told Korean media. “This was such a big opportunity that I have been working really hard, sparring very hard, there were a lot of expectations and I had so many family and friends who bought tickets to fly to Macau. Its hard for me to express in words about this situation… its so bad.”
…
“I’ve missed the chance to debut in Macau now but it will only make me work harder and more determined to recover. I want to make a stunning fight maybe in the United States next year, February or March maybe,” says Kang.
Caceres (7-5) remains on the card while the UFC looks for a last-minute replacement for him. The bout was to take place on the main card, and it remains to see if it will stay there with a new opponent.
