Another preliminary card bout has been added to the ultra-stacked (for now) UFC 155 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lightweight and TUF 12 runner-up Michael Johnson will look to close out 2012 with a 4-0 record as he takes on TUF 15 fighter Myles Jury. Brett Okamoto of ESPN.com reported the news on Twitter earlier today, and has since been confirmed by multiple MMA websites:
Johnson (12-6 MMA, 4-2 UFC) lost to Jonathan Brookins in the TUF 12 Finale, but has since won 4 of his last 5 with the lone setback against Paul Sass. He’s had a very strong 2012, with wins over Shane Roller, Tony Ferguson, and most recently a come-from-behind KO against Danny Castillo at UFC on FX 5.
Jury (10-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) entered TUF 15 as a member of Team Faber following his opening round “get into the house” win over Akbarh Arreloa. He was eliminated in the round of 16 against Al Iaquinta via split decision. Jury defeated Chris Saunders by 1st round guillotine choke in the season finale. All of his pro MMA wins have come by 1st round stoppage.
