Report: Matt Riddle’s win vs. Chris Clements overturned to no-contest
Bloody Elbow 2.0 | Anton Tabuena

Earlier this week we told you two fighters from UFC 149 were caught using banned substances. One of them was welterweight Matt Riddle, who had tested positive for marijuana following his 3rd round submission win over Chris Clements. According to Joe Ferraro of Rogers Sportsnet’s UFC Central, Riddle’s win has now been overturned to a no-contest.

Nothing yet so far on Rivera, who tested positive for an over-the-counter stimulant, and his TKO win over Roland Delorme.

Like Rivera, Riddle’s suspension was 90-days retroactive so he’s eligible to fight again as of yesterday.

With that in mind, the UFC 149 main card results are as follows: no-contest (Riddle vs. Clements), split decision (Head vs. Ebersole), unanimous decision (Kongo vs. Jordan), split decision (Lombard vs. Boetsch), and unanimous decision (Faber vs. Barao). I guess for a card that awful something bad has to come up even months after the fact.

Riddle did win “Submission of the Night” but there’s no word on whether he’s lost that, and honestly I don’t see why he should. After all, have you ever tried locking in an arm-triangle choke … on weed?
