Apparently, not all the action at UFC On FX 5 took place inside the cage. On the main card, Jon Dodson met Jussier da Silva to determine who would be the first to challenge Demetrious Johnson for the newly minted Flyweight title. The first round got off to a surprisingly slow start and the live audience didn’t hesitate to show their displeasure. One fan took the jeering too far for the liking of Heavyweight Pat Barry.

Barry explained the situation via his Twitter account:

Many other fans applauded Barry’s actions on Twitter, claiming the fan in question had been a nuisance throughout the event. The Flyweight contender match continued with Dodson knocking out da Silva in the second round, but that wasn’t the end of the issue. Following the KO, Barry once again stood up to inquire why the man had insulted his colleagues. Later in the night, the fan approached Pat to ask why he had “called him out”. Barry turned the question around asking him to explain his verbal attack. According to the heavyweight, the man blamed the incident on a bad week at work, which Pat called “bullshit”.

Pat Barry details the whole situation on YouTube:
