The UFC’s final FOX card of 2012 is possibly the best free show in MMA history. Its main event is a lightweight title fight between champion Ben Henderson and challenger Nate Diaz, but the other main card fights make this card better than several recent PPVs. Two excellent prospects will fight legends of the sport in their respective bouts, as Rory MacDonald fights B.J. Penn and Alexander Gustafsson takes on Mauricio Rua. Rounding out the main card is Mike Swick against Matt Brown in what should be a fantastic fight.
Even the preliminary card could easily be a main card of an FX event. Heavyweights Brendan Schaub and Lavar Johnson headline the prelims as well as several fights from UFC 151 like Dennis Siver vs. Eddie Yagin and Tim Means vs. Abel Trujillo.
Frankly, you know a card is stacked when B.J. Penn isn’t even the co-main event. Seattle, Washington is the site for all of these terrific fights, and Henderson will have the crowd behind him, havnig grown up in Federal Way, which is just south of Seattle.
After the jump, you’ll see how the card looks right now, and it better stay that way.
