It looks like Alan Belcher’s fractured spine was just a bump in the road and he’ll be ready to go again in December. And he’ll be looking to avenge a loss he suffered in his UFC debut over six years ago. MMA Fighting has the news:
A middleweight bout pitting top contender Alan Belcher against Yushin Okami has been agreed to for UFC 155, sources close to the event told MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani.
Belcher (18-6) took his first fight in the UFC way back at UFC 62, and dropped a decision to Okami. He is currently on a four-fight winning streak and was expected to face Vitor Belfort at UFC 153, but Belfort’s move to UFC 152 and his own injury removed him from that card. Instead, he’ll rematch Okami (27-7), who broke a two-fight losing streak with a TKO win over Buddy Robert at UFC 150.
It’s unclear if this bout will be on the main card or not. My guess would be yes though.
